A great alternative to regular salt on your salads, meats and fishes, in fact any dish you want to use it in! Not only is the color very cool, it’s supposed to have lots of minerals and detoxifying effects. I love the stuff.

Wow, had never heard of that. At first I thought you meant the black salt (kala namak) which is pinkish and sulfury.
Ah yes… I know kala nama and this is very different… no sulphury taste! I haven’t seen it in Japan so buy it from the UK when I’m back or my mum sends me some! Hope you can find it where you are!
We ate in a restaurant in Ronda / Spain. They served us bread with olive oil and jet black salt. I asked them where I could buy the black salt they wouldn’t tell me but gave me some. I am about to run – out and would love to know where I could buy some more.
