Need: 4/5 heaped tbsp of wholewheat flour, 2 kabu (white radish would work just as well), small handful kabu shoots, 1 garlic clove, ½ tbp ghee, 1 tsp cumin, ½ tsp red chilli powder, ½-1 tsp salt, hot water to bind

1. Put the wholewheat flour, cumin, red chilli powder, salt, ghee in a mixing bowl.

2. Finely grate, squeeze out the water and add the kabu, with the finely chopped garlic and kabu shoots.

3. Adding water and stirring, bind until you have a dough.

4. Divide into equal balls and roll into small circles using flour so they don’t stick.

5. Cook on a heated tava pan, on both sides lightly until white in colour.

6. Spread over some butter, ghee or oil and cook on both sides while smoking, and you might need to wipe with some kitchen paper before you start cooking the next one.

7. Enjoy with you favourite curry or chutney.
